Sairee Beach and Prince Chumphon Shrine - Chumphon Thailand 2022

In this video we start out at a view point overlooking the coast. From here you can see the surrounding area and you can really get a feel for the area. The coastline is amazing with the number and quality of beaches.

After the view point we go to Sai Ree beach. The small beach has several restaurants and resorts for anyone wanting to stay in this area. It’s relatively unsoiled with great sand on the beach.

The last part of the video we take a look at a shrine dedicated to Prince Chumphon. He is considered the father of the Thai navy and a very important figure in Thai history. He died on this spot at the age of 43 from the flu and now it’s a place that Thai come and pay respect to him. In addition to being the son of the king, navy officer he also promoted medicine and pushed for anyone that was sick to receive treatment. The shrine has a decommissioned torpedo boat that you can climb on as well as several shrine to the late prince.
