Crockpot Chicken & Rice Dog Food
My dog Max found health and healing with his troubled gut through this recipe.
INGREDIENTS
4 cups enriched rice
8 cups water (or enough water to fill crockpot)
3 boneless chicken breasts (with or without skin)

DIRECTIONS
1. Put all ingredients into the crockpot; rice, water, chicken breasts.
2. Cook on low for 8 hours, on high for 5 hours.
3. Shred chicken and stir into gummy rice.
4. Let cool and serve, one cup or two cups at a time.
You can stir in kibble to add more protein. I use 1 cup kibble to 1 cup chicken and rice.
Refrigerate for up to 3 days or divide into single service and freeze in freezer bags. Microwave frozen chicken and rice for 3 to 5 minutes. If desired stir in kibble and serve. Cool if mixture is too hot.
Nutritional Information
1 cup of chicken and rice is equivalent to 200 calories.
