How did the Hunting Hypothesis and Agriculture shape Human evolution?

In this video we take a look at the writings of Walter Burkert in his book Homo Necans: the Anthropology of Ancient Greek Sacrificial Ritual and Myth and the hunting hypothesis as it relates to the advent of farming.

In what ways have a carnivorous diet changed us, and how did something like hunting ultimately lead to farming, and then civilization itself?

In order to answer this question, we take a look at Homo Paranthropus, also sometimes classified under the genus Australopithecus, and their mostly herbivorous diet, as well as the relationship between Neanderthals and a diet that consisted mostly of meat.

Which species faired best, and in what ways can looking at both of these ancestors of man teach us something about ourselves?
