Epic Night Fishing For River Monsters / Night Fishing For Bass In Summer / Flathead Catfish Fishing

In this Michigan fishing video we had an epic night fishing for river monsters. Night fishing for river monsters is exciting because you never know what you might hook into and usually the biggest and the baddest of the fish are out in the night actively feeding! Night fishing for bass in summer is a great technique for finding the big ones. I have caught a lot of Monster bass fishing at night but especially in the heat of summer when fish become more lethargic during the day. The other super fun thing about night fishing for a river monsters is that you can get into flat head catfish, channel catfish, walleye, largemouth bass smallmouth bass, pike, carp, suckers, carp and more. In particular catfish or extremely active at night and are more willing to hit lures than most people realize. Flathead catfish fishing with lures is productive and super fun because when a flat head catfish hits your spinner or crank bait it’s like hooking into a steelhead or salmon. Speaking of steel head and salmon Michigan catfish fishing is the main thing that gets me by through summer fishing until the Steelhead and Salmon are around again. And this night I was actually hoping to get some walleye or some longnose gar but I am always happy to take what the river gives me and in this episode the river gave me a really nice flathead catfish as well as two really nice bass. One large mouth and one small mouth in particular were excellent size river monsters! On this night as often is the case I was fishing the grand river with my friend Jason. Grand River Michigan fishing is highly underrated by many fisherman who can’t quite figure out how to utilize the plethora of great fishing spots all along the grand River. Grand river bass fishing is actually among the best best fishing in the rivers available in Michigan. I hear good things about places like the Thornapple river (a grand river tributary) or the Kalamazoo River but in my mind the grand river is one of the best bass fishing rivers in Michigan. Grand river catfish fishing is also great. From Lansing to Grand Rapids The Grand River is full of flat head and channel catfish as well as the stretches in both directions either way from the headwaters to Lake Michigan. So if you were looking for some good Michigan catfish fishing or some good Michigan bass fishing definitely try bass fishing and catfish fishing The Grand River in Michigan. Also remember that night fishing for a river monsters with lures like crank baits and spinners can be extremely effective!
