A resident of Mariupol told how the AFU kicked civilians out of the basement and occupied it themselves:

"The day before yesterday, the Ukrainian military came to our house, people were locked in the basement, kept overnight. They hammered the lock so that it was impossible to open the basement, and in the morning they opened it, people were kicked out, they said: "Go away, we are on the defensive here."

On March 10, a Ukrainian shell flew into the courtyard where people were cooking their own food, the woman added: "An 11-year-old girl was killed, three guys from our entrance and a fourth from the next one were killed. Plus four wounded."
