Karen and Norma Jean join us to discuss Canada’s failing public education system; that it’s necessary to evolve the school system going forward. Karen is a life coach and Norma Jean was a primary school teacher for 20 years. Both ladies are with Lifeforce Canada, an alternative learning resource for teachers, students and parents alike offering guidance, resources and tools to homeschool our future generation in a space that facilitates and fosters each person’s intrinsic life purpose.

On what public education is really feeding our youth…

The last 10 years of my career, I just kept seeing all these little puzzle pieces coming together. Like kids are getting less, teachers are getting more responsibility with less resources to do it, with children that need more support are getting less support.…it was clear that all the safety protocols that they were doing, it didn't make any sense whatsoever…they were just really pushing this fear energy, making the children afraid of each other, afraid of the adults. And some of the teachers were so fearful that even when it wasn't mandated for, they were making the kids [wear a face mask], even though they had no right to do that, I just came to a point where I just stepped away.

On the need for alternatives…

I don't think the system's broken, I think it's designed to be exactly the way it is to dumb humanity down…so to me, why even play in the devil sandbox, why even try to fix that system because they're never going to. Up to Grade 3, not one single teacher had a spelling program at all, even reading is very minimal. It's like they expect kids to just learn through osmosis, know how to read. [And now] we're introducing things into the curriculum that teachers have no business teaching our children…in British Columbia, where I'm from, the curriculum has recently been revamped to target that, to talk about sexualism, homosexuality, transgenderism, pronouns, all that…teachers across that province are proudly talking about how they weave it into their teachings; how no child is too young to start talking about sexuality.

On transitioning from the broken education paradigm …

Lifeforce Canada is a national think tank…so many parents and teachers now are becoming awake and aware that the system is the way it is. It's corrupt and we don't need to change it. We need to just step out of it altogether, create a new system. Lifeforce Canada education portal and nine pillars was created because there are so many parents and teachers exiting out of the public school system, they need a place to land…that allows for parents and teachers to connect across Canada.
