Russian Missile Destroys 100 Ukrainian Troops and NATO Mercenaries
As previously thought, Russia has completely changed its strike strategy from aircraft to deploying long-range missiles. Ukraine is literally being bombarded with ballistic missiles.

The Russian military attacked the Kharkiv defense headquarters in March, killing more than 100 Western nationalists and mercenaries, Major General Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, said at an April press conference as quoted by SF.org.

"As a result of the high-precision strike with the Iskander missile operational-tactical complex on the defense base in the city of Kharkiv on March 31, more than 100 nationalists and mercenaries from Western countries have been confirmed dead," Konashenkov said.

The Russian Defense Ministry released precise footage of the attack, which appeared to have been carried out with an Iskander-K cruise missile.
The main armament of the Iskander-K, the 9M728 cruise missile, has a known maximum range of 500 kilometers and a flight altitude of up to six kilometers. These missiles are primarily guided by the GLONASS and INS [inertial navigation systems] satellite navigation systems.

The 9M728 is also equipped with the TERCOM [terrain contour matching] system, which allows it to fly at very low levels to avoid detection by enemy radar.

The more advanced Iskander-K cruise missile, 9M729, has a higher yield warhead and a new guidance system for higher accuracy. The Russian military said the missile had a range of 480 kilometers. Most parts and components of the 9M728 and 9M729 missiles are identical.
The Russian military has used Iskander-K cruise missiles and 9M723 quasi-ballistic missiles from Iskander-M to strike high-value military targets in Ukraine since the start of special operations in the country.

Ukrainian government forces, who have reportedly lost most of their air defense capacity, appear desperate in the face of Russia's never-ending missile attacks.
