Mariupol is a city in southeastern Ukraine, on the north coast of the Sea of Azov at the mouth of the Kalmius river, in the Pryazovia region.It was the tenth-largest city in Ukraine and the second-largest in Donetsk Oblast.
Mariupol played a key role in the industrialization of Ukraine.
Given the importance of Mariupol and also it's close proximity to Black sea makes it a face saving mission for Russian army to please their citizens back home but As the President of Ukraine already mentioned several times they'll fight till their last breath and surely they're making their words come true.
