GUSD Board Member Freemon Attacks Parents Who Do Not Want Sexual Topics Discussed with 8-Year Olds

During Glendale Unified School District's public comments on April 19, 2022, parents expressed concerns and dismay at publicly available documents that revealed disregard for parent wishes about teaching children sexual topics.

Board Member Jennifer Freemon got up and walked out during the parent public comments. The GUSD school board did not respond to the substance of the parents comments, but instead chastised the parents for expressing their opinions in public spaces such as the school board public comments and social media.

School Board Member Jennifer Freemon responded to the parent concerns by accusing them of “homophobia and hate.”
