Moralists Gods : Christianity and Outgroup Charity

The past was very violent. A large scientific data suggest that narcissistic traits may be positivelly correlated with a reproductively adaptive strategy in the past and now and that humans have the natural tendency to not have concern, sometimes even prejudice, for the outgroup.

Studies have found that in small-scale societies, local gods usually care about ritual, ingroup cooperation, and ecological challenges" and do not correlate with concern by distant groups.

"Whereas in large-scale societies, “moralizing gods” (MGs) are more concerned with prosociality" and better correlated with ingroup concern and outgroup prejudice. Instead, the concern about the christian God correlates with an increases in concern for an outgroup.
