I think we're all broken before we get here
We are born of broken people who too were born of broken people
As were those before them
We are all products of a broken world
A breaking planet with a nature to give birth to things
Only to watch them die
Like a wilting flower
A dying fruit
A fallen tree
A decaying building
An eroding coastline
A fading sunset
We are no exception
There is nothing held onto
That subconscious realisation in itself breaks you
Those who live under the illusion that we aren't inherently born broken, break the most
Life is a journey
Spent finding, putting or keeping all of our little broken pieces of ourselves together
For as long as we can
