Appalachian Trail + Thru Hiker Interviews + Trail Magic Swatara Gap and 501 Shelter Parking Area

Lisa and I decided to head out and find Swatara Gap Road crossing for the Appalachian trail to do some trail magic.

We got our start pretty late in the day it looked like it was going it was going to rain and when we got to our 1st location a bridge that was actually Built-in 1890 over the Swatara Creek that Thru Hikers cross. It started to thunder. So, we decided to locate the route 645 road crossing and Parking Area for the AT.

After we found that parking area parking area we went ahead and drove over to the 501 shelter parking area and got set up.

Not long after we got set up our 1st hikers began to arrive.

We ended up talking to about 15 thru hikers and a hiker who was section hiking for 4 days with his daughter. He was in the shelter when someone said there was trail Magic and he came over to learn more about what trail magic was.

We had a great time and got to do quite a few interviews use as well as get information about Instagram and YouTube Channels for our subscribers to follow along with their journey north.
