Erosion control is important to any small farm, homestead, or estate. Especially in areas where there are slopes and roads. Let’s walk through this particular erosion project.

When working with roads and access points, you cannot always have shallow slopes. The best you can do is water management, selective plant selection, and area isolation.

Selective planting means choosing trees, grass, or herbaceous plants depending on the slope. Trees can stabilize with deep roots, while grass can offer shallow root mass to stabilize surface soils.
