What can Homo Longi tell us about our past?

An abnormally large, and old skull of a new species of man known as Homo Longi, "the Dragon Man", was recently uncovered in the Northeastern part of China. Scientists examined the skull and confirmed that it was not only a new species, but that it was going to take the Neanderthals place as mans, brand new, closest relative.

Who was the Dragon Man?

And what does Homo Longi's physical features, such as his enormous brain size and relatively nonexistent chin, say about our past? Could it have been that Homo Longi's skull is just the complete Denisovan skull that we've been looking for? Is he a particularly robust Pleistocene human with a large brain? And regardless, do all of these new finds tell us that we don't really know as much about our past as we thought?
