An all-new, never-before-heard, original version of "Land of the Silver Birch." Instrumental, piano. The music accompanies a one-minute drive through Canadian landscapes. Scenes of pine trees, waterways, mountains and a river...

Piano interpretation of "Land of the Silver Birch" by Marcus Gonda.

Lyrics:
Land of the silver birch
Home of the beaver
Where still the mighty moose
Wanders at will
Refrain:
Blue lake and rocky shore
I will return once more
boomdidi boom boom – boomdidi boom boom – boomdidi boom boom boom
High on a rocky ledge
I'll build my wigwam (Alternate version: There where the blue lake lies, I'll set my wigwam)
Close to the water's edge
Silent and still
Refrain
My heart grows sick for thee
Here in the low lands
I will return to thee
Hills of the north

"Land of the Silver Birch" is a traditional Canadian folk song, known to many. The Scouting and Guiding movement has embraced this song. So have many Camps. It is often sung around bonfires in Canada or while paddling canoes.

The footage is original video of river, highway and forest (pine trees) in Ontario.
