We take a look at the classic Ford Crown Victoria panther platform Police Car and observe it's design and features which help make it the king of Police vehicles for such a long time.

The key thing about the Crown Vic is that it's such a tough vehicle. The car can just take such a high level of abuse which reduces down time and maximizes service time. The large dimensions of the vehicle help with storage and ergonomics while using it. This style of V8, full frame, RWD drive car is the end of an era as most Police vehicles are unibody, AWD and typically an SUV format.
