Growing in 100% COMPOST: RAPIDTEST Results – Learning from Charles Dowding

I planted this concrete raised bed around the last week of February in 100% homemade compost. I wasn’t sure how to handle SO much grass and so many weeds as I saw them popping up (so now there’s a ton)… nor was I sure how the compost would do.

Here we are, about 7 weeks later. Growth is slow but I’m still bound and determined to use my own, almost-free compost (and native soil next time) to work toward growing 100% of our own food. I feel encouraged by Charles Dowding’s work and thoughts from the FB composting groups that I’m still on the right track.
