We always think that we have done enough prayers, we have done enough for others and so on we should gain a reward. We bought many catholic books with any kind of novena and catholic prayers inside the book and we think that we are half-made saints. Check out the advice from Saint Francis about this, he says that once we think we are almost perfect, we actually have many flaws. Let us all be very careful with this trap.
