When We Was Fab and Powerful

George Harrison thinking back to the days when he and his bandmates were indeed "fab" while Gino Vannelli goes on about powerful people and that's how today's Segue City Special is constructed. It's Wednesday and we're gathering steam toward the weekend.

It's going to be gloriously sunny today but we're still slaving over a hot control board to put more segues together as they come to mind. Still, it beats the hell out of the old days of having to sit here and splice tape to make these edits and segues. We'd be here all day trying to get one segue just right,,, the shop steward would be having a fit... and no one would get any doughnuts from the Mayor...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
