The premise of this is false. It’s drawing on the “both sides” argument when you can objectively see one side specifically causing 80% of the harms.

The right or conservatives have almost zero institutional power yet are blamed for the failures of the left.

The left blames gun violence on the right when conservative areas have lower gun crime than in liberal ones.

I can go on and on. There’s no comparison. Objectively the left are causing most of the problems, it’s not “both sides” when one side has nearly all the power.

There’s an objective reality. Politics are irrelevant to that. It’s either true or false.

We just like to make things more complicated than they need to be.

Abortion isn’t complicated at all. Destroying the life of a being unjustifiably is called murder yet we still do it. We do it because society has (mostly) agreed that you’re not a human until you’re born. Whether or not you agree with that is irrelevant, society has spoken. Doesn’t matter if society is objectively wrong, they’re still going to do the thing regardless.
