Sunday Longplay - Tetris Effect Connected (PC) - Full Expert Journey (All SS Ranks)

This week on Sunday Longplay, I'm following my mini roadmap I laid out for my channel in the community tab a couple weeks ago by getting back into Tetris Effect to prepare for its crossplay update and Steam release next month. I had uploaded a few online multiplayer videos of this game previously, but I want to cover the single-player content as well before next month when the crossplay update comes. Then I'll cover the Connected co-op mode as well as more competitive stuff.

There was a crossplay beta that went on for a couple weeks ending last Monday and afterwards the developers pushed the update back another month to continue ironing out the bugs. But one month from today, get ready!

The center of Tetris Effect's single-player content is the Journey mode, with 27 different stages split into 7 different areas providing many different gorgeous environments in the background as you play. Each stage has 3 sections with each one having a different block speed level, and the goal is to complete a number of lines depending on your difficulty level (30 for Easy, 36 for Normal, 48 for Expert).

To boost your score, the game introduces the new Zone mechanic. When you clear lines you fill up your Zone meter. When activated, gravity stops, any cleared lines are pushed to the bottom of the screen, and when the meter runs out or you top out, all cleared lines explode and you receive a score bonus depending on how many lines you cleared while in the zone. This is the key to getting a high score in Journey mode, since lines cleared while in the Zone don't count toward the line goal for the stage.

For this longplay of Journey Mode, I will be playing on Expert mode and getting the highest rank of SS in every area!
