God's Call To Judah For Repentance & Restoration Is. 60:1-3
• Is 60:1 As we read these promises and long for their fulfillment, we must patiently wait for God's timing. He is in control of history, and He weaves together all our lives into his plan. God's favor now profusely abounds to us, but we must arise to take it, and run with it. We must cut off all impediments to rising up and summon courage to do so.

God's Call To Judah For Repentance & Restoration Is 60:1-3
• Is 60:2 Darkness is permitted to cover the earth, and gross darkness, the people. The unrepentant, who are yet to seek Christ are referred to as the people, and so gross darkness is permitted to cover them through ignorance. Believers who also refuse to grow by the knowledge of God's word would certainly also face darkness. The solution is in keeping the light on and shining it. Get more oil and do not be like the foolish Virgins, who had no extra oil. The light is the spirit of God in you and the oil is the word by which the spirit man is fed.

• Is. 60:3 Gentiles is translated “nations” in Isa_2:2-4. In the earlier passage, they come to heavenly Zion to be taught of God; here they come to bring tribute. Isaiah foresaw a day when not only would the righteous remnant in Israel be devoted to God, but so would the redeemed from all nations - far and near.

4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me.

With long life will God satisfy me, and shew me His salvation.
So shall it be for me and my household today and forever, Amen and Amen!
