This book has excellent execution of medieval warfare, plot progression, and character development. It even has some soft magical elements to it for the fantasy reader. It made out list of #recommended books, as did all the books in the Watchers of Outremer series by Suzannah Rowntree. We focus primarily on #smallpressbookreviews & #indibookreviews for mainly fantasy and sci-fi, but we like to read just about anything.
