5 Must-Haves for Hanging Swarm Traps!

This is Year 1 of beekeeping and I’m feeling ready to catch some bees in my horizontal hive (Layens) swarm traps, built by Dr. Leo and his crew.

In addition to the 5 things mentioned in this video, here are some supplies you’ll need to hang your traps:
A level (6” or 9” or phone app)
Ratchet straps, 10’ x2 per trap
Scrap wood / sticks to level trap on tree
20’ extension ladder, x2 would be ideal (we’ll be getting another!)
6’ ladder if you don’t have 2 20’ ladders.
A tall guy on the back of his truck
