If you are only interested in my trans content, instead of watching this video and then complaining that it exists, my advice is, don't watch it!

Please see my video "On Grass Widows" or my substack essay by the same name for more information on the etymology of "grass widow." Many people asked me why I spent so much time doing due diligence regarding the etymology before coming to a conclusion and taking a public stance on this topic. As you can see from these messages, their lack of understanding of the etymology here and their failure to do the due diligence I took it upon myself to pursue, was central in their decision to persecute a woman on the basis of her conversion to Judaism, that escalated to recruiting her ex-husband and sons to attempt to get this woman involuntarily psychiatrically hospitalized and possibly stripped of her rights for years to come. When I refused to collaborate in this, Joey attempted to do damage control by threatening me with a restraining order if I did not stop speaking out against her bigotry and her interpersonal abuse.

Alix and Joey took it for granted that Ute was correct to link the term to Judaism - which is odd, since they are the emissaries of the one true Jewish culture - and Ute was deferring to the explanation from a Yiddish-speaking Jewish writer, Isaac Bashevis Singer. Singer, being bilingual, conflated a German term with a Hebrew term based on loose, salient conceptual similarity, in that both involve a woman who is in an unhappy or unsatisfying bond with a man they feel disconnected from. Ironically, it would appear that they appropriated an aspect of European culture that they did not fully understand in order to feel that they were re-taking this cultural artifact from the colonizer.

This video also touches on one of her stans, Gaye Chapman, who was left in the dark by Joey Brite about the context which clarifies why I broke butch rank to call out the appropriator-LARPer watering down our culture with rampant feminine qualities.
