In this episode, Tommy and I get a private tour to one of the state's few privately owned, working heritage homesteads. The William Harris Homestead is a hidden gem in Monroe that hosts a variety of re-enactments for school children and the general public alike. The beautiful working farm remains home to members of the Harris Family, who have dedicated their lives to ensuring their family's history and home, remain intact, while educating over !25,000 Georgia school students.
This gorgeous homestead is also available for weddings and other events.
Admission is $6; $5 for seniors.
