Photographing North Cascades-Washington-Hike to Diablo Lake and Thunder Knob at Sunrise for Rumble

In my van life road trip adventure, I stopped at The North Cascade National park for some Landscape Photography in mid September. Day one, well technically day 2, took me to Diablo Lake and the Thunder Knob Trail.

Stunning photography took place on what started out as a very overcast and low hanging cloud day.

The North Cascade park is on the very edge of the north side of the State of Washington, backing right up to Canada.

Known for it's Picket range among other sights, it is one of the more remote and desolate park. Many of the hikes inside the park require overnight back packing skills. Although there are a few wonderfully epic day hikes...such as the Thunder Knob trail as well as the Maple Ridge Loop.

Not to be missed. While this park is a way's out there in the middle of nothing, it most certainly is one to not miss.
