It's OUR job to control what people think | MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski admits propaganda agenda (2017)

On February 22, 2017, co-host Mika Brzezinski spilled the beans on the media's propaganda agenda on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe':

"He [Trump] could have undermined the messaging so much that he can control exactly what people think and that is OUR job."

That same day, Brzezinski wrote on her Twitter account (@morningmika) in a tweet that seems to have been deleted in the mean time:

"Today I said it's the media's job to keep President Trump from making up his own facts, NOT that it's our job to control what people think."

Except, this video indisputably proves that she DID say it's "our job" to control what people think. Trump should not get the right to "make up his own facts", but neither do the media.

Brzezinski does not seem so much concerned about propaganda and fake news, just that she's jealous. She just wants the monopoly on propaganda and fake news.

I agree with co-host Joe Scarborough that it's extremely bad if an administration has complete control over the messaging, whether it be Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Trudeau, Zelensky or Putin. However, it's equally bad if the messaging is controlled by somebody else and not based exclusively on true, relevant, unbiased facts with balanced reporting.

If the media see their role as spreaders of propaganda, whether that propaganda comes from the government or any other organization whose agenda is not aligned with the people, then they ARE the enemy of the people.

The main stream and social media have an essential function in a system of checks and balances. They are required to keep an administration 'honest'. The people deserve access to true, relevant, unbiased facts where they can get all sides of the story. The main stream and social media have not provided that in a very long time.

Scarborough says that people should legitimately be concerned about the saying, "The president has absolute power. He shall not be questioned".

I agree, but the past two years has been conducted according to the equally bad rule:

"Fauci/CDC/FDA/NIH/etc. have the absolute power. They shall not be questioned."
