The last time today’s guest joined me on the Pandemic Podcast, you could find him on multiple social media channels.

That all changed last week when this respected academic saw his Twitter account — with 25k followers — permanently suspended without any explanation or right of appeal.

Dr David Thunder, researcher and lecturer in moral, political, and social philosophy at the University of Navarra’s Institute for Culture & Society, last joined me in August when we were pondering whether it was too late to save democracy.

How does he view our chances now, in the light of the myriad draconian global measures taken recently in the name of public health as well as his own very personal experience at the receiving end of cancel culture?
