That's what says a recently published study by the Department of Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise of Virginia, in the USA.
Amanda Daley, leader of the study and researcher at the University of Birmingham, says that water is efficient because it helps fill the stomach, thus increasing satiety.
According to her, drinking a few glasses of water 30 minutes before a meal gives you time to feel more satisfied and helps you make better choices when eating, such as choosing lighter foods.
The researchers highlight that, to lose weight healthily, you need to combine water ingestion with a balanced diet and physical activities. Isn't it incredible?
