For Christians, Jesus died by crucifixion, on the eve of the Jewish Passover feast, and rose from the dead three days later. This is the biggest celebration for the faithful because it marks the liberation of humanity from sin in exchange for the sacrifice of Jesus, the “lamb of God”.
