New York City Mayor Eric Adams and other city officials held a news conference on Friday to honor the transit heroes who ushered riders to safety following Tuesday's mass shooting on a Brooklyn subway. "When bullets were flying — 33 to be exact — you stayed calm, stayed focused and you saved lives. Calm, focused and you saved lives," Adams said. "Thanks to you, no passenger was left behind. No lives were lost."
