Motherhood is hard, and balancing the needs of my kids, my husband, my homestead, and myself can be overwhelming at times. But during my Bible study time one day last week I read a few verses that really brought me peace of mind.

Ecclesiastes 3 – Everything Has Its Time

1 To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;

3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;

4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;

Lately things have been hard. The kids have been stuck inside a lot lately because we’re in the middle of winter; we have one child going through the Terrible Twos/Threes, and a two month old that needs constant attention. Plus the constant attention the farm requires and trying to keep a happy marriage while maintaining my own sanity, it’s a struggle. But I find peace in God’s Word, and I know that He is with me in all that I do. Things may be hard right now but this is only a season, and seasons change much faster than you think.
