The TRX Row with Reach exercise can be a useful tool for improving total-body neuromuscular efficiency, providing a challenging stimulus across the kinetic chain. Due to the fact that the movement pattern is multi-planar and multi-task in nature, the exercise can be also used to improve balance, coordination, and kinesthetic awareness – which can transfer to more efficient engagement in complex tasks associated with daily living or unstable tasks encountered during athletic endeavors. It can be employed as part of a functional training circuit for advanced clients, or as an activity for improving stability and force coupling for a new client attempting to develop baseline neuromuscular efficiency.
