Goat Kids Born During BITTER Cold!

Another round of baby goats born on the farm, this time during a brutal cold snap. We captured the first moments of their lives as they dry off and stand up and nurse from their mom. Subscribe to the channel so you won’t miss future videos from our little homestead!

Bonnie is a Kiko X Savanna meat goat. She and her brother Clyde were our first two goats, brought here to help clear brush along our fence rows. At the time we expected that to be a much quicker process and it has been thus far (story for another day) but they’re still doing a good job keeping the grass mowed down in the pastures.

Bonnie and Clyde don’t fit into our dairy goat plan but at the moment we don’t have any desire to rehome them into the freezer. Since they aren’t going anywhere we let Benji, our Nigerian dwarf buck, breed Bonnie. A few extra cute kids around the farm never hurt anybody after all.

Bonnie has looked ready to have her babies for a while now and with a brutal cold snap in the forecast we just knew it was coming. Watch to see how everything turned out.
