Dad's Iron Soup TimeStamp Link - 5:05
Ingredients:
3 Cups Rutabaga diced)
2 Cups Turnips .diced)
I Cup Whole Corn
3 Cups Cabbage {Chopped)
3 C;ups Broccoli {diced}
3 Cups Cauliflower (diced}
2 C;ups Potatoes or Sweet Potatoes
1 Cup (Celery (sliced)
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
1 Tsp Ground Pepper
1 1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
4 Cups Water
1 Cup Carrots (sliced)
1 Cup Onion (diced)
Preparation:
1st saute onions, celery, carrots, rutabaga and turnips in a large soup pot
2nd Add water, potato" s, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and corn with all spice. Boil for 20 minutes then turn down to simmer.
3rd Add spices to flavor to taste. Note, cayenne pepper really opens your sinuses when you are sick.

Ingredients
1/2 Cup Onion (chopped)
2-3 Cloves Garlic (chopped)
2 Cups Potato's (diced)
2 Cups Zucchini (chopped)
1 1/2 Cups Cauliflower (chopped)
1 Cup Carrots (chopped)
1 Cup Celery (chopped)
4 Cups Vegetable Broth
1/2 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
2 Tsp Salt
1/2Tsp Ground Pepper
1 Tsp Ground Ginger
1 Tsp Turmeric
Preparation
Saute the Onions. Garlic. Ginger and Turmeric for a few minutes. in a large
pot. until the onions start to soften. Add the remaining vegetables, the salt
and pepper and saute for 7 more minutes. Pour in the lemon juice and stir to
coat the vegetables. Add the broth. cayenne and additional salt and pepper. if
desired. Bring to boil for 10-15 minutes or until vegetables are soft. Note: for
less chunky soup. puree in a blender and reheat.
