A brief look at the value of straw. These 40 bales will help start seed on recently cleared areas, feed the garden, and create habitat.

NOTE: You can thank the City of Martinsville for putting a damper on the community garden that is mentioned in this video. The grading necessary to safely reach the garden wasn't allowed.

After clearing land you want to get down straw and seed as quickly as possible, even if you are reforesting. Be sure slopes, access points, and open spaces have grass to stop erosion.
