José Mauro Ferreira Coelho assumes the presidency of Petrobras

The new president of Petrobras, José Mauro Ferreira Coelho, took office today. Former Secretary of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, José Mauro was appointed by the government to replace Joaquim Silva e Luna. The term in charge of the company is one year. José Mauro holds a degree in industrial chemistry, a master's degree in materials engineering and a doctorate in energy planning.
