Freedom Vs Control in 2022

A great showdown of freedom vs control is emerging as this weekend once again saw a wave of convoys, protests and demonstrations taking place around the world against the ongoing covid restrictions and mandates.

Whilst the UK is on a path to removing all restrictions, many parts of the world are lagging behind and it’s often the more ‘progressive’ governments that are holding on to control through authoritarian means.

This could easily be mistaken as a battle between political polarities, however this is a battle between freedom and the 'culture of control' that has expanded over the course of the pandemic.

Will further civil unrest be necessary where governments are unwilling to relinquish control?

Are these uprisings the tip of the iceberg for what is to come?

Do these demonstrations reflect a wider discontent amongst society at large?

It is my belief that 2022 will mark the beginnings of one of the most transformative periods in recent history.
