Press Conference: Child Covid Vaccine Advisory Group (CCVAG)

On 11th February 2022 the CCVAG, a group of 90 of the UK’s leading doctors, health professionals and academics wrote to the JCVI urging the government to “pause the child covid vaccine roll-out pending the results of an investigation into serious safety signals.”

This request has not been responded to by the JCVI and each of the UK’s home nations will now extend the roll-out to 5-11 year olds from April.

In response, more than 500 British healthcare professionals have co-signed the CCVAG’s open letter in the past 4 days. This represents the most significant criticism of health policy by the British medical establishment since the beginning of the pandemic.

On Thursday at 14.00 members of the CCVAG hand-delivered the letter to the Joint Committee of Vaccines and Immunisations (JCVI) offices.
