Demar Derozan Makes It Look EASY

The Hawks get an alley oop on this play without too much effort. Take a look.
Initially, Bogdanovic signals as if there’s gonna be a split here, meaning, switching sides and screening for each other with Delon Wright.
But midway through he cuts outside and goes to the elbow, back picks Jalen Johnson’s defender, and now Johnson has permission to takeoff as he catches the pass mid air and dunks it.
Great way to start today’s best NBA plays. What up everybody, my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it.
The Bulls also don’t waste time here and find Derozan for the quick finish inside.
If we stop it right here, this is a 2 screen setup for Derozan to come out here. But you can see how Barret is guarding him aggressively here, as he’s expecting those screens.
So with all the focus on that, Demar just gives him a push, creates space and takes off on the opposite side along the baseline, the catch and the finish.
The Pacers also executed a nice decoy play on the out of bounds design, resulting in a Buddy Hield 3 pointer.
This also looks like a screen here, and a screen from the big man, for Justin Anderson to get a shot here. But he stops here instead to flip this into a double screen for Buddy, who’s already outside, with nobody around him, gets the pass and splashes the three.
We got another early offense bucket, and this time it’s the Denver Nuggets.
In transition Monte gives it up and right here he has a back screen from Gordon. His defender is aware of it so Morris gives him a fake 1 way, then a cut inside, Nikola finds him under the basket and the super easy layup for the Nuggets.
I guess it was that kind of night since the Kings also got an easy one at the start of the quarter.
The decoy here is that it looks like a double screen for Davion Mitchell.
As that develops, Divincenzo goes from the corner to set a pick for Chimezi Metu to cut to the basket.
So as we let it roll, Davion turns around, throws the lob and Metu dunks it.
By now you know how this goes, now we move on to the simpler but still pretty nice plays.
As Marcus Smart takes the ball to the other side, Payton Pritchard moves parallel with him along the baseline, gets the off ball screen, the excellent pass by Smart and the swish.
Everyone touched the ball on this beautiful possession by the Cleveland Cavaliers that ended with this corner 3 by Love.
Next we have the reigning MVP with another one of his signature passes for the Austin Rivers 3 pointer.
Melo wants the ball up here, doesn’t get it but continues his search and finally after this quick pick n roll delivers the perfect dime for the dunk by Montrez.
