The Renault Kwid, a compact that innovated the entry-level segment with its SUV design, the largest trunk in its category, low fuel consumption and the only one with four airbags as standard in all versions, arrives at the 2023 line maintaining all these characteristics and with evolutions in design and technology.

Completely renewed, the design further emphasizes the SUV spirit with a new visual identity. The front features a new, more imposing bumper, LED daytime running lights (DRL) in all versions - unprecedented in the category -, double parabola headlights at the bottom, sculpted front grille with chrome or gray inserts, depending on the version, and the lower part of the bumper in black, reinforcing the SUV characteristics.

At the rear, the novelties are the bumper and LED taillights. In the 2023 line, the consumer now has the option of a double-barrel roof in the Intense version, and light-alloy diamond wheels as standard in the Intense versions with double-headed and Outsider roofs.

Inside, the instrument panel now has LED displays. The entire central panel has a new finish, with chrome details and in glossy black or Cassiopée gray, depending on the version, on the air vents, on the frame of the new Media Evolution multimedia system, on the doors and on the gearshift knob. The Outsider version also gets an exclusive Citron green finish on the seams of the seats and the gear hood.

The Kwid continues to stand out for its good ground clearance (185 mm) and entry (24.1°) and exit (41.7°) angles, which were already worthy of the SUV segment and have gotten even larger. The vehicle also has the largest interior space and the largest trunk in the category (290 liters).

The Renault vehicle, which was already “best-in-class” in fuel consumption among entry-level compact vehicles, is 5% more economical in the urban cycle with ethanol in the tank, recording 10.8 km/l, and 3% more economical with gasoline, making 15.3 km/l, according to Inmetro.

In addition to being more economical, the engine has an even better performance. The modern 1.0 SCe (Smart Control Efficiency) engine, with three cylinders, 12 valves, double valve timing (DOHC) and aluminum block, now yields 71 hp with ethanol in the tank and 68 hp with gasoline. Torque was also improved: 10.0 kgfm with ethanol and 9.4 kgfm with gasoline, ensuring good acceleration and recovery.

To make life on board easier, the new Media Evolution multimedia center brings more technology and connectivity to the driver. With a new larger screen, now 8”, capacitive and with a simple and intuitive interface, the center offers mirroring for cell phones with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, allowing you to use, for example, Spotify, Waze and Whatsapp on the multimedia screen, and “push to talk”, in addition to the Driving eco2 system, .

Kwid offers three trim versions: Zen, Intense and Outsider. In addition to the colors Fogo red, Glacier white, Étoile silver and Nacré black, the vehicle debuts the Iron blue body in the Intense (with or without biton paint) and Outsider versions.
