It all started eight years ago, more precisely in 2014, with the launch of the BMW i3. A benchmark in sustainability and electric propulsion, the BMW i3 led the electric car movement in the country and paved the way for the future.

The BMW Group's flagship technology, the BMW iX is the symbol of a new era of mobility for the brand. Conceived from the beginning to be a fully electric vehicle, its construction has several modular elements created by BMW thinking about the next releases with this type of propulsion. All without giving up on providing Pure Driving Pleasure, the brand's DNA.

Form and function go hand in hand in the BMW iX. With a structure that prioritizes increased rigidity and the lowest possible weight, the utility mixes the use of aluminum with carbon fiber-reinforced resin in its construction and bodywork. The design, of course, delivers the best possible aerodynamic coefficient. It's just 0.25 drag coefficient, which contributes to better performance and energy efficiency.

Positioned on the floor of the BMW iX to improve the center of gravity and guarantee greater protection against impacts, the battery cell of the BMW iX has the fifth and most modern generation of the BMW eDrive. Its energy density has increased by around 40% compared to the high voltage battery of the BMW i3 2020. There are 76.6kWh of total capacity in the xDrive40 version and 111.5kWh in the xDrive50 version. Based on the WLTP cycle, the BMW iX arrives in Brazil with a range of up to 425km and 630km, respectively, in the xDrive40 and xDrive50 versions.

Despite the great autonomy, BMW has not spared development in new charging technologies. Proof of this is that the BMW iX debuts a new system, capable of providing recharges of up to 150kW in the xDrive40 version and 195kW in the xDrive 50 version.

This fast charging allows you to increase the battery charge level by 70% in 35 minutes on the BMW iX xDrive50 or 31 minutes on the BMW iX xDrive40. Furthermore, the range can be increased by up to 150 kilometers for the BMW iX xDrive50 and 95 kilometers for the BMW iX xdrive40 in 10 minutes.

The BMW iX is the first BMW model to receive a 22 kW BMW Wallbox essential and a Flexible Fast Charger. The new charging accessory, Flexible Fast Charger, is a fast, portable and flexible charger. The standard kit comes with a 3-pin connector with a power of 1.8 kW, but the customer will find cable options that can increase the power up to 11 kW. O

Equipped with two engines, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle, the BMW iX has xDrive all-wheel drive as standard. Combined, the engines yield an excellent 326hp and 630Nm of torque in the xDrive40 version and an impressive 523hp and 765Nm of torque in the xDrive50 version. Acceleration is 6.1 seconds and 4.6 seconds respectively, while top speed is limited to 200km/h in both for battery preservation.

The BMW iX arrives in Brazil in the xDrive40 and xDrive50 Sport versions in nine body color options (Alpine White, Carbon Black, Sapphire Black, Cashmere Silver, Sophisto Grey, Mineral White, Phytonic Blue, Mountain Ridge Blue, Bay Storm Gray and Aventurine Red) and three interior finish options (Sensatec Oyster, Sensatec Mocha, Sensatec Black, Amido Leather and Castanea Leather)
