How can we get to the meat and potatoes of the Bible, when we can't even handle the milk? God is calling us to grow up. Biblical, selfless love is the key to overcoming victim mentality, pain, etc. It is the key to maturity and becoming more like our Messiah. Our focus needs to be on God and discovering what we can do for others.
