Russian flagship that attacked Snake Island crippled by 'Ukrainian missile strike'

Russia's Black Sea flagship that launched an attack on Ukraine's Snake Island has been "seriously damaged" by an explosion, Russian state media said.

The damage to the Moskva missile cruiser was caused by ammunition detonating "as a result of a fire", the Russian defence ministry was quoted as saying, adding that the cause of the blaze was being investigated.

It added that the crew had been evacuated, but "the ship was seriously damaged".
