It'd be a good idea just to lift the cover off every now and then and have a look at how it's burning.

We got called to a customer's house, and this one actually had flames coming out of the bottom of the burner, and as you can see, it was burning each side of the foam on the outside.

Now this can be very dangerous. You don't want flames coming out here and setting your whole unit alight, and then potentially your whole house.

What causes that is either a blockage in your flue, or in this case this device was failing, and not opening the flap in there for the flue.
