why emulation is good for the industry

emulation is not a very big problem in my opinion and actually can help the gaming industry. also preservation is a huge reason for why people pirate or emulate games. some games are banned and they cant get them in they're country. and also emulation forces gaming company's to compete with private individuals who make better content then them. and Nintendo claims emulation is against the law when a court case in the 90s proves that it isn't and they're wrong and they lost the case. i really care about emulation and hope Nintendo stops trying to sue innocent people.
