I finally talked to a guy who gets journaling and is able to explain the appeal and make a pretty decent case for it. Eric explains how to journal for self growth and why he thinks it is a net positive for anyone as well as how to journal for beginners.

We discussed how Environment is Stronger than Discipline, how progress is non-linier, contribution to the world and 3 things you can do right now to start moving in a positive direction for personal development.

Change is difficult but it is the only constant in life, Eric has tried a lot of things and embraced change. He shares stories about training for an iron man and triathlons and we swap a few stories about those kind of events.
