Media Companies Don't Like Ratings - Blaming Nielsen Won't Help

Media Companies are trying to use their trade organization to remove the accreditation of Nielsen. The VAB does not like the ratings drop that's upending their 'member's" bottom line. They want the underwhelming programming artificially held up to keep ad rates high. They have some chosen unqualified favorites they would like accepted instead.

All of this comes at a time when media analysts and media outlets soften the ground ahead of the Olympics which turn out to be the ratings dive everyone expected. More Story and Commentary in the video.
