January 6 Commission Will Turn Boomercons Against The Cops

The January 6th commission may be pointless political theater, but it will have an effect on the opinions of American voters. This commission will further the realignment of republican and democrat voters on matters of policing and respect for authority. Increasingly, republican voters are internalizing the "insurrectionist" label and democrats are embracing their own role as the true backers of the "blue." I am encouraged to see an increased willingness amongst republican voters to question the merits of authority figures, most notably the police.
